Hello and welcome to the British Association de Cannes website.

We look forward to bringing you plenty of information on Cannes in general and the surrounding area with particular reference to the British Association.

We are a charitable organisation helping British people in and around Cannes, who find themselves in need and also organising social and cultural events such as fund raising activities in Cannes and the region at which new friends can be made and common interests shared.

The Association was first registered on 30th November 1957 under the umbrella of the British Association Alpes Maritimes.

It is now an independent association having appropriately registered as a 1901 charity.

It is run solely by volunteers and aims to help British residents and visitors to the region providing help to those new to the area and in particular those expatriates who encounter unexpected problems such as illness, accidents, bereavement or financial difficulties. We have built up an invaluable fund of knowledge and expertise relating to life in the region so that we can provide help to those who need support and solve their problems through the strength of our membership.
